Rajput Indian restaurant offers another choice of Indian eaterie in Ballyhackamore. Situated beside Little Wings pizza, it offers another choice of places to eat along that stretch of the village.
A lot of work has gone into the unit itself to transform it into a contemporary chic Indian restaurant. Tastefully styled inside, its decor creates a warm and inviting ambience.
The food itself is excellent. Freshly prepared ingredients provide wonderful flavours in all the traditonal Indian favourite dishes. Prices are very reasonable too.
The restaurant is not licenced, so customers need to bring their own alcohol; however with an off licence just across the road, that’s not a big problem. It also offers takeways and delivery service.
So definitely one to try next time you are in the mood for an Indian meal. You shouldn’t be disappointed.

Decided to give this new place a go . Placed an order for delivery and was told it would be 45 minutes. When the food hadn't arrived after 1 hour I rang to be told that it was on it's way. 15 minutes later it still hadn't arrived and when I phoned to complain the girl put the phone down on me. When the food eventually arrived I explained the position to the driver and asked him to get the owner to ring me. I never received a call.
I've got to say the food was good but because of this experience I could not recommend this place
Sam so sorry about your experience we just opened and had some problems as we were extremely busy now we are running smoothly. I would like you to contact me and hopefully we can resolve this issue.
Many thanks
Ahad
Ahad, Sorry I never got back to you but I thought you should know that my wife & I visited your restaurant last Friday (28/3). Your staff were very friendly & helpful and the service was first class. The food was excellent and we had a very enjoyable evening. On the basis of this experience, I am very happy to recommend Rajput and will be doing so. I look forward to returning. Sam.
Shock horror deliverd food late. Just like EVERY restaurant everywhere. Get over it Sam
Four of us enjoyed a fabulous evening last Friday. We were warmly greeted by the owner and as we studied the menu we were offered advice and help. The service was efficient, prompt and the food was fabulous. I would say that this was the best all round Indian meal we have ever had…and we've had a few!!!
They worked the floor extremely hard, paying attention to all the seated customers as well as the take away ones.
I am already looking forward to a return visit.
Tryed two weeks ago with a friend clean friendly x food was great going bk tommz night for my birthday
Fabulous indian, best ive had in a long time, will b going again soon.
I had a very enjoyable mean here I have to say. Food is very good and staff are attentive
First time, takeaway collection, great service, lovely meal, good value for money, will be back!
First time food was lovely but have to say we were rushed out didn't get time to finish our drink after our meal even the guy waiting at the door to come in said to ourselves god you are getting through out my thought is wasn't that cheep to get rushed out
We have eaten in the Rajput several times now and each time have been impressed by the attentive staff, excellent food and all round great atmosphere. It is essential to book but whether in for the early or late sitting we have always been made to feel welcome. An excellent restaurant and the extensive menu means we will be back often and happily so.
Fantastic as always, I have eaten here on countless occasions both inside and had delivery and have never been able to fault anything ,do be paitent with deliverys especially at weekends all food is freshly cooked I watched with amazment whislt in the restruant how much attention is paid and it is a busy place well worth the wait. the staff are great the food is great, love the BYO, cant wait to go back again am booking this evening for the weekend.
My Hubbie and I eat out a lot in the area and were BLOWN AWAY with this place and are heading back there tonight. Great food, amazing service, very comfy and stylish surroundings. Excellant value and really lovely staff too. Cant fault it at all. Well Done to the Rajput!
I have got a few takeaways from Rajput and I have never been disappointed! ! The food is extremely good excellent quality of meat etc and generous quantity of food. I can safely say I will work my way through the menu. I like fairly hot Indian but have to admit had to ask chef to tone it down just a bit. Staff are very helpful and nothing is a problem I will be eating here in a regular (weekly basis) as the food is outstanding! ! Couldn't recommend it enough eat here you will not be disappointed !!!
Rajputs food is fantastic but tonight I have had the worst delivery service ever.food ordered and a 40 min delivery time given.90 mins later still no food and I called to be told food had left the. Restraunt.another 40 mins and still no food so I called to cancel only to be left on the phone while staff chatted with each other so I hung up.10 mins later the food arrived but I refusef it as aparantly it left the restraunt almost an hour before this.i have ordered every week for months from rajput but will no longer use them as this service is unacceptable and there are plenty of decent indiams around the area!!
Have had many meals both sit in and carry out and never a bad one.Ahad and staff very friendly and helpful. It is extremely busy at weekends so if you can make it a mid week sitting is very enjoyable.Highly recommended.
Best Indian food in Belfast
Had a fantastic meal few weeks ago with my girlfriend and we both agreed ot was best Indian we had had. Great friendly staff and quick turnaround with food. Going back on Saturday for my bu.
I first ate in the Rajput 2 months ago and have been back a lot since. Having worked in many Indian takeaways and restaurants I had very high expectations as I know what i like and hoped for the restaurant to accommodate this, I was not disappointed. The service was excellent, very friendly staff and the food was amazing. My other half is vey particular about food, especially Indian as she's so picky, even she love fit and was given exactly what she asked for. We love this place and the staff now know what we like and what way we prefer it cooked. Top class
Best Indian food I've had in years both sit in and takeaway.
Thought it was expensive for 2 people 46.50 for one course and nan bread
Just back from my first visit to the Rajput in Ballyhackamore. For my wife and I, a starter and main each was more than we could finish (that is not a complaint, but unless you are a big eater, you may want to eg. share a starter).
We had the Gosth Kata Masala and the Lamb Monposond as mains. Both were very good. For starters, we had Bombay Aloo and Saag Paneer (excuse spelling). The Saag Paneer was fantastic. The Bombay Aloo was not just as good as a similar dish which I used to order from the other Rajput on the Lisburn Road about 20 years ago.
It's BYOB and there's an off license across the road, so that keeps the price down compared to paying restaurant prices for wine, so if you are a drinker, keep that in mind. Some people above have said they thought it was expensive. I paid £50 including tip for a starter and main for two on a Saturday night. They do give you popadoms and dips when you arrive, which are itemised on the bill at the end and there is a service charge.
The staff were attentive without being intrusive. Basically, I had a great meal at what I consider a reasonable price (special occasion price yes, but not excessive). Thanks Rajput.
Rajput is a lovely restaurant. only thing is its really noisy on a Saturday night. you can hardly hear yourself talk. aide from that its great
