Ballyhackamore’s bakery – Mr Spences – has closed its doors. The bakery was previously Elizabeths, but only recently was changed to Mr Spences. The bakery was always a very busy one, often with queues out the door, but for one reason or another has closed….

Kind-hearted residents from east Belfast have come to the rescue of one local charity shop, helping to protect it from further break-ins.
Last February staff at the Marie Curie shop on Belmont Road set about raising money to purchase shutters, after the shop was regularly targeted by thieves.
